RUTA DEL SILLAR

Arequipa, Peru is famous for its statuesque white buildings in the colonial area of the city that give it the moniker ‘The White City of Arequipa‘.

La Ruta del Sillar (The Sillar Route) is a UNESCO World Heritage City, giving the opportunity for visitors to the region to see Sillar produced at its source.

Sillar stone is a volcanic sediment made up of ash and lapilli, which are small fragments of lava expelled during volcanic eruptions.

With an extension of 2 km in length, the Sillar Route  is one of the greatest querry of the country.
